21/07/09 Making the change to hot pressed strand woven bamboo flooring and BONA commercial grade finish!
Hot pressed strand woven bamboo is the newest innovation in bamboo flooring. It has several advantages over the cold pressed method including better control over moisture content, more consistent colour, higher density, more consistent density and boards are always made from one piece (as opposed to two or more edge glued pieces).

We've also changed to BONA commercial grade finish in order to better serve our quality oriented clientele. This product is the best available prefinish type product available to our knowledge. It comes with a 30 year residential wear through warranty for original purchasers and a 5 year commercial wear through warranty for original purchasers.

15/08/08 Formaldehyde free sheet goods have arrived!
Global Access has received 4'x8'x3/4" sheet goods, bonded entirely with PVA! Widely known as carpenter's glue, this adhesive has no added urea formaldehyde and does not contain any ingredients deemed to be hazardous to humans. Formaldehyde is commonly used in residential building products including OSB, particle board and MDF. Although many steps have been taken since the 70's to ensure that formaldehyde offgassing is reduced in homes, Global Access prefers to stay ahead of the pack and offer the best possible products at competitive prices.
